Work with mechanical part designer on component design and packaging issues
Ensure projects are completed on time as determined together including providing regular status update to R&D manager
Management of technicians’ work load including welfare and work performance
Explores new technical areas as assigned by R&D manager including competitor product studies
Study and review customer requirements, including preliminary feasibility studies, customer enquiries, DIR reviews and costing
Ensure samples submitted to customers are good, complete with appropriate documents
Perform design reviews to verify the products meets DIR and target cost as well as to validate the technical performance of the product and undertake corrective actions
Ensure BOM, drawings and technical specifications are correct and proper, including approving release of BOMs
Provide adequate samples for compliance testing
Qualify new components including assisting new component sourcing
Serve as input window for customer including input requirement negotiation for OYL and other customers as determined by the R&D manager
Provides technical support related to products including engineering support for production, trial runs and field service quality matters
Documentation and maintenance of the work carried including software back up, calculation sheets, logbook, technical manuals, specs, drawings, flowcharts, etc.
Maintenance & upgrading of design rules, libraries and methodology of the department.
Management of tools and equipments under R&D supervision.
Carry out work in accordance to the approved development process flow and SOP

1.Development and maintenance of test plans and test cases specification for various projects within project timelines according to software functional and design documents.
2.Collaborate with Software Architect/Software Engineers/Business Analyst to develop test scenarios/cases for load testing.
3.Perform software Quality Assurance testing, including functional, regression, and load testing.
4.Ensure proper documentation, including preparation of the appropriate testing manuals. Verifying bugs, executing the test scripts, recording and verifying the test results, and raising defects when necessary
5.Verify that the system complies with the functional specification (keeping with the philosophy of zero-defect code) and to ensure that quality is built into the product to ensure UAT is passed. No compromise on quality of the product.
6.Good written and oral communication skills (English)

Job Requirements:
1.Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
