Responsibilities:

The role based in our office in Petaling Jaya encompasses all areas of front end web development for a global web development company. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with the design teams across our global offices as well as other developers to create high quality interactive interfaces for our web projects.

The role will encompass:

• Creating well formed CSS / HTML templates with tableless layout compliant to web standards and Pixl8 standards
• Ensuring your work is compliant with the major browsers and working with the test team to ensure good quality markup
• Working with JavaScript frameworks such as JQuery

• Communicating well with a large distributed team

Requirements:

• Qualifications and Experience

• Ideally you will have at least a Bachelors degree, Post graduate diploma or professional degree in Computing/Multimedia or a closely related subject but if you have a good working knowledge of web technologies and are organised and willing to learn then we’d still like to hear from you.
• 1-2 years of relevant development experience is desirable. However fresh graduates with a good portfolio of work are encouraged to apply.
• You will have worked in a similar role previously (Desirable)

• Experience working for similar types of organisation (Desirable)
• Skills
• A good understanding of development with a modern web scripting language e.g. Ruby on Rails, PHP, ASP.NET, JSP or ColdFusion
• Must have an understanding of programming techniques and databases
• Will understand Javascript and frameworks
• Excellent Spoken and Written English language skills (Essential)
• Ability to learn new technologies and techniques (Training will be provided on the latest techniques)
• Work independently and meet deadlines
• Excellent organisational skills. (Essential)
• Skilled in using PC packages such as word/excel. (Essential)
