Planning Manager
at Ashley in Kuala Lumpur
Position with a multinational company, a leading service provider of semiconductor packaging design, assembly, test and distribution solutions.

Responsibilities:
1. Manage Production Control Department and ensure customer satisfaction via accurate product planning of the highest quality and least cost
2. Area management to meet Operating goals and objectives
3. Coordinate planning activities to ensure timely production schedule and distribution of finished goods to customers.
4. Develop, review and implement new as well as update existing planning system to achieve optimum utilization of materials and plant capacity
5. Plans and implements cost effective planning procedures
6. Train, develop and motivate subordinates to achieve high performance standards and a culture of excellence
7. Ensure specifications and working procedures are well updated in accordance with current practices
8. Monitor, control and improve activities to minimize inventory costs
9. Specifies operation to be performed, compiles results and makes recommendations for changes required in operation equipments, procedures, manufacturing processes and or new operation requirements
10. Interface throughout company to understand and identify possible solutions to production issues
11. Serve as coordinator for manufacturing related projects and ensure that all functional areas coordinate to meet schedules
12. Any other related tasks that may be assigned by supervisor as deemed appropriate
13. Reporting to Planning VP and reporting by Supervises a team of Executives, Planning Assistant and Manufacturing Assistants.
14. Supporting approx. 30 employees.
Requirements :
1. Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Professional Degree or Master’s Degree in any field
2.Minimum 8-10 years of work experience in the semiconductor industry
3.Minimum of 6- 8 years in planning with at least half of those years managing people
4.Must have strong leadership, supervisory, coaching and interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively in a team environment
5.Excellent writing skills, and strong oral presentation skills
6.Must be self-motivated with high ethical standards and Integrity
7.Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals.
8.Ability to analyze complex problems, interprets operational needs, and develops integrated, creative solutions.
